Rumford Community Home is seeking a Per Diem, Certified Medicine Tech (CMA) to join our team!

Responsibilities

Responsible for the medication administration of assigned nursing unit.


Essential Duties:

  • Administers medication by oral, rectal, topical, inhalation, eye or ear routes, under the supervision
    and direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Performs the following nursing documentation as assigned by the charge nurse or supervisor.
  • Takes initial vital signs and measurements and documents them on the vital sign flowsheet.
  • Assists with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility and services.
  • Delivers patient/resident care promptly and accurately as directed by the RN/LPN and in
    accordance with the patient’s/resident’s written plan of care.
  • Contributes relevant and appropriate information to RN/LPN for revision of the plan of care,
    and interdisciplinary conferences as appropriate.
  • Reinforces compliance of RN/LPN teaching and plan of care.

 

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant/ Medication certification in the State of Maine.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care care preferred.
