Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Tech II position reports to the Director of Pharmacy and or a Registered Pharmacist. An ideal candidate should have a pharmacy technician background, as well as previous pharmacy or hospital experience.
The preference is that the person is Nationally Certified and holds a Maine state license or the ability to obtain that specific state license.
Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients.
Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications.
