The Team Leader performs, coordinates, and supervises clinical functions for the cardiac rehab department. Collaborates as needed with other health care disciplines to meet the needs of the patient and/or family. Demonstrates and promotes the organization’s philosophy of excellent customer service and high-quality care. Manages supplies and equipment, and promotes teamwork with staff, providers, and personnel in other departments. The Nurse practices in accordance with CMMF’s Clinical Policies and Procedures, and operates within the Maine Nurse Practice Act. Maintains performance improvement (PI) activities within the department and participates in PI activities. Consults with staff, physicians, and director regarding problems and interpretation of facility polices to ensure the patient's needs are met. Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department. Maintains the preventative and restorative health needs for the patients. Provides patient education on disease entities.
• Preferred State of Maine Registered Nurse, other related license or certification considered.
• Two or more years recent experience in critical care, cardiac care, or cardiopulmonary rehab.
• Two or more years recent Lead or Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or level of experience equivalent to duties of position.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS and BLS certification required.
