Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Full Time, Manager of Revenue Cycle Informatics & Financial Advocacy to join our Patient Access team!

 

Position Summary:

The Manager Revenue Cycle Informatics and Financial Advocacy is responsible for operational leadership of the Revenue Informatics team and the Financial Advocates. This position contributes to the financial strength, compliance and overall performance of Revenue Cycle operations by providing leadership and support for all Patient Access functions, including hospital and physician (provider) services. Data integrity and reporting of financial performance and impact of improvement initiatives and standard KPIs is required. Net revenue/performance improvement goal setting, monitoring and achievement are required.

 

The position will provide leadership, coordination, and evaluation of Revenue Cycle operations and is specifically responsible for the following:

  1. Revenue Cycle Informatics Management
    • Oversight of Informatics team
    • Patient Access denial management
    • Systems Support
    • Quality
    • Training
    • Policies
    • Professional Development
    • Workflow Redesign and Enhancement
    • Financial Improvement Goal Setting, Process Improvement, Tracking and Reporting
    • Data Trending
    • KPI and Operational Dashboards and Reports
    • Supporting Organizational Dashboards and Reports
  2. Financial Advocacy Management
    • Oversight of Financial Advocate team
    • Optimization and improvements to processes and collections for patient responsibility
      • Insurance discovery
      • Maine Care
      • Marketplace including maintaining site and staff certifications (CAC)
      • Free Care in accordance with State of Maine guidelines
      • Financial clearance reviews for scheduled procedures
      • Upfront collection for bedded patients
      • Support of the Cancer Center including grant funding
      • Support all service locations
      • Processes for Disproportionate Share Hospital accuracy

It is critical that this position be highly effective in delivering the services described above and work harmoniously with leaders and staff across the organization.  Effectiveness will be measured in terms of measurable results, commitment, staff engagement and customer satisfaction (at all levels).

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or five (5) years of relevant leadership experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Revenue Cycle.
